Lynnwood, WA: Light Rail, Alderwood Mall, and Where to Stay

Lynnwood has become a real Snohomish County transit hub in the last couple of years, on top of being home to the biggest mall north of Seattle.

Light rail The Lynnwood City Center light rail station puts downtown Seattle, Bellevue, and Everett all within a single ride — no driving or parking required for a day trip into the city. The station itself was built with travelers in mind, with real room for luggage, strollers, and bikes.

Alderwood Mall The largest mall in Snohomish County, with movie theaters, an arcade, and an indoor playground on top of the usual shopping and dining — reachable directly from the light rail station via the Orange Line bus.

Outside Scriber Lake Park and the wetlands along Scriber Creek Park make for an easy walk, and the Interurban Trail is Lynnwood's main biking and walking corridor if you want more distance.
